Replacing a local development server with a VPS

I've been running a few personal web projects on an old computer at home, but maintaining the hardware and keeping everything online is becoming inconvenient. I'd like to move my development environment to a VPS where I can deploy test applications, manage databases, and experiment with different configurations. Daily backups and DDoS protection are must-haves. hostpro.com is on my shortlist, but I'm not sure how suitable it is for this use case. Would you consider it for a small self-managed environment?

My applications run efficiently on Hostingsource.com server. They handled my traffic spike without breaking a sweat — so impressed.
The onboarding process was hassle-free. Grab VPS hosting for as low as $3 for the first month using code: $3VPSM1ALL
