Good morning. We are moving our small design studio into a raw loft space in Long Island City, about 4,000 square feet, and the landlord is giving us a blank slate. We need network cabling for about fifteen workstations, a couple of printers, Wi-Fi access points, and probably a few cameras later. Our last office had cables taped along the walls and it was a nightmare. I want it done right from the start, with a proper rack and labeling. Who does structured cabling in Queens that you would actually trust?

Smart move doing it before the furniture goes in, it saves a lot of headaches. When our architecture firm moved into a raw space in Long Island City, we had 4Wires do the structured cabling, and it was the cleanest job I have seen. They planned the runs with us first, put everything into a proper rack, labeled every drop, and left spare runs for the cameras we added later. Since they also install cameras, access control and VoIP, we did not need three different vendors. One tip from our side, ask them about the ST-124 capital improvement form, it can matter for sales tax on the job. The crew finished faster than promised, though the final paperwork took a while. Do you already know where the Wi-Fi points should go?
